KidStory Theatre Fest
interact Story Theatre
This Spring, Jae works works with interact Story Theatre for the first time as a member of their KidStory Theatre Festival performance ensemble. Jae will appear in a number of five minute short plays written by young children, for young children. Jae is extremely passionate about interact's core mission of bringing theatrical experiences to children where ever they may be.

ANTIGONE
Jae continues to actively develop her script for the adaptation of Antigone they wrote for the Rude Mechanicals' 2024 season, incorporating further research and everything they learned from the experience of directing it this Spring.

ANTIGONE
AU's Rude Mechanicals (2024)
Re-Imagined and Directed by Jae K. Gee, this production of the classic Greek tragedy Antigone told the story of three young people confronted by a broken political system, exploring how to trappings of democracy can be distorted to become something far more dangerous.

Alice by Heart
Wildwood Summer Theatre (2024)
Jae returned to Wildwood Summer Theatre playing the roles of Dr. Butrige, The King of Hearts and the Jabberwock in their production of 'Alice by Heart.' She also served as the productions fight and intimacy captain. She recieved glowing praise for her mosterous physicality as the Jabberwock.

Henri IV Part I
American University (2024)
Jae tackled the role of the legendary Scottish rebel, The Douglas, in American University's 2024 productions of Shakespeare's Henri IV Part I as directed by Kate Eastwood Norris. Set in a world where a queen rules England rather than a king, this gender swapped production dealt with familial and societal expectations from a feminine perspective. Featuring fight choreography by Robb Hunter, Jae also served as the productions co-fight captain alongside Lila Rose Roberts.

Daughters of Leda
American University (2023)
Jae portrayed one of the three ancient greek fates, Cut , in a story about women taking control of their own stories. A twist on a number of classic tales focused on rebellion, family and the healing of generational trauma.

Head Over Heels
Wildwood Summer Theater (2023)
Jae played the part of Pythio, the gender queer oracle of Delphi, in Wildwood Summer Theater's production of Head Over Heels as directed by Ileana Blustein. Jae also served as the production's fight captain.

She Kills Monsters
Jackson-Reed High School (2023)
Jae teamed up with Kiefer Cure as Co-Fight Choreographers for Jackson-Reed High School's Fall production of She Kills Monsters, a Dungeons and Dragons themed adventure exploring family, love, queerness, loss and nerdom. Directed by Daniel Iwaniec.

Bat Boy the Musical
American University (2023)
Jae appeared in the ensemble of Bat Boy the Musical, at American University as directed by Clancey Yovanovich. Jae also understudied the roles of Dr. Parker and Bud in addition to serving as the production's fight captain.

Romeo and Juliet
AU's Rude Mechanicals (2023)
Jae returned to the Rude Mechanicals as the fight choreographer of their spring 2023 production of Romeo and Juliet. Jae worked closely with director Siena Maxwell to tell the story of the classic star crossed loves through combat.

Everybody
American University (2022)
Jae played the role of a Somebody in American University's 2022 production of Everybody, directed by Christopher Michael Richardson.

The Winter's Tale
American University (2022)
Jae played Antigonus in The Winter's Tale: A Film-Theater Hybrid Endeavor, directed by Colleen Sullivan.

Hamlet
AU's Rude Mechanicals (2022)
Jae played the scheming Polonius in a production of Hamlet set in a 1930s Italian mafia, directed by Emma Burton and Alec McKee. They also served as fight choreographer on the production.

Let Me Just
American University (2021)
Jae appeared in the original cast of Megan Chan Meirero's 'Let Me Just,' a play written for Zoom during the Covid pandemic, playing the role of Jack Moi. The play was directed by Carl Menninger.
